You should be fine with just the weight distribution hitch. The 22 doesn’t weigh anything. I used to pull one with a Flex. The raptor is much more capable than that.

If the truck is tuned, the additional boost creates more of the oil blowback, as I understand it.
For $130, it seems like good preventative medicine, and it doesn’t hurt the truck in any way.

Legally, someone else can look at the problem and try to figure it out. There’s nothing wrong with that. I think Izzy would have a case if someone reverse-engineered his brackets and straight-out copies them.

Intellectual property doesn’t require patents. Patents simply make it easier to defend that you created the solution first in court. It’s the same with registering a trademark or copyright.

I emailed asking about the 1-2 jumpiness, he said they found some issues with those gears that they smoothed out and sent me a v2 of my tune.

I just got an update from them that dramatically improved how jumpy the truck was, especially in 1st and 2nd. Make sure you have the latest tune!

Take it to a dealer. There is a tsb out there that will smooth out the shifting. I just got mine back and sport mode is SO much better. No more hard shifts between 2-3-4-5. Takes about an hour for them to upgrade the transmission module or flash it or whatever.

Turns out only a day.
I had the TSB done while it was in for the hard-shift reprogram. I’m not optimistic that it will stop the creak/pop. Sounds like the guys who had their rails replaced have the only sure-fire fix. :(
