Not to be an A-hole, but it sounds like you have an oil leak from your valve cover ;) (well known and well covered issue on this site). Have you checked the oil level?
I can almost guarantee it’s the plugs. I had this code and replaced plugs as a step wise process and completely resolved all issues.
I am at 100,000 miles now, got this code at 35,000 miles and never again since change plugs empirically every 20,000 miles. I am still on the OEM coils and...
Did some one drop the box of spark plugs prior to putting them in your truck? I’d seriously question if the insulators are cracked vs the coil packs are not on securely. It’s awful suspicious you had the plugs replaced and now having misfires on that many banks.
A couple of thoughts:
1. Lift the front of the truck up so the wheels are off the ground. Put 25 of vacuum to each actuator (one at a time) and turn the tire by hand, if you don’t hear any noise then you you know the actuator is disengaging at the hub, if you hear the “grinding” then it’s...
I am at 97,000 miles on my 2017 SuperCab. I have not had the cam phaser issue yet (knock on wood) and have been tuned with Goosetuned since mile 30,000. I run e85 in the spring/summer and 91 in the Fall/Winter. I also personally change my own oil on the clock every 5,000 miles no matter...
Maybe this a better version. I just installed my 3rd Turbosmart BOV on my aftermarket IC today due to a malfunctioning BOV. The first one basically fused the plunger due to MN/WI elements after 18 months, the 2nd gave me the P0035 OBD Code 3 days ago, so I just installed the 3rd.
I am pretty...
#1: The XDI HPFP had a cracked housing seal and I am still not sure what happened as I sent it back to XDI and they bench tested it and stated it was a one off. (Goosetuned contacted them for me and helped getting a new one at no charge).
#2: I switched back to the OEM HFPF for cam phaser...
I have been down the same rabbit hole as yourself. I am currently running e85 only in the warm months via @GooseTuned. If you already have the CAI and upgraded intercooler you can purchase the XDI HPFP from Winfield and takes ~60 minutes to install the first time. I have had to change my high...
It’s because Ford dealership don’t/doesn’t service them. You will have to send them to Fox or have it done via 3rd party vendor.
If the shock is defective then a Ford dealership will replace the entire unit, otherwise they are like brakes/rotors, etc., and are serviced accordingly.
Have you...
My brand new 2017 ended up with cracked transmission housing case after the roll-pin recall was complete. I am sure it was dealership caused. The internals of the transmission were fine, but the case would obviously leak transmission oil as soon as you hit operating temperatures.
Just like...
Tearing apart the steering wheel on a $111k - $150k "one of a kind" Raptor R sounds amazing.
Maybe I'll tear apart the dash on my turbo S.....
I am not picking on individuals here, but it's crazy to not get the basic functions in the highest level of trim in the F150 line-up. I...
I suspect your suspicion is correct. After market intercooler and AMS boost tubes = most likely tuned at some point. Otherwise, what's the point? Those look like 3+ deavers.
Unfortunately, I don’t think anyone else made a dedicated winter tire in the 315/70/17 size. I love my Nokians. I completely understand what you mean (I live in WI and came from MN). KO2’s are hot garbage on ice/packed snow.
My back up would be Duratracs if I didn’t have the Nokians.
Do you smell fuel at all? If you do I’d check the low pressure side of the fuel pump (line on the firewall side of the fuel pump). You can put a piece of paper/cardboard under the line and start the truck.
It does look like oil from your pick though. I’d do as FTO mentioned and clean it up...
I ordered a set and were delivered today. They were in fact the wrong size, just like the earlier poster. I have already taken them back. I already run Nokians, but for the price it was a chance I couldn’t pass up trying.
I hope someone scores the correct size.
I am not sure the "bang" is worth the buck as you are only going to get a slight bump in power but pay a heavy price for octane booster. I was only able to get 91 octane as well in the upper midwest, but lots of access to E85. If you are looking for more hp/tq I'd recommend an e50 tune...
I can confirm that it’s pre painted magnetic metallic (same color as my Raptor).
You could always take the cash and upgrade to an aftermarket bumper too.
I replaced my left end cap (2017 Raptor) after a very similar incident.
It’s easy to do in the driveway/garage. They come prepainted. I bought mine off the garage sale section here. The rear sensors pop out and pop back in.
Often times people are replacing rear bumpers with aftermarket.
