I have a MPT Ngauge for a 2017 Raptor. It’s loaded with tunes but they probably only work for my truck. I’m selling my truck so I no longer need this. It’ll be flashed back to stock before I sell this.

The only things you should avoid are sustaining high RPM or driving at the same RPM for a long period of time. After 1k miles, you should be good to go.
I just got an e50 tune from MPT, and I filled her up this morning. Haven't been able to open it up yet. Can't wait to see what she does on the way home from work.
I just got my MPT 93 PRX tune for my 17 updated and DAMN the trans shifting is so much better. Kudos to MPT. Their tune is fantastic. I just got an e50 tune as well. Just waiting to run some gas out of my tank before I can try it out.
Dyno numbers mean absolutely nothing unless you are using them as a baseline with runs with the same vehicle and on the same dyno.
I had an evo 9 that put down 315whp (on a notoriously low reading mustang dyno) that went 11.9. And then i went 10.9 with 370whp.
I didn't have the TRD Pro, but I had a Platinum Tundra which I traded for my Raptor. The Tundra was a great truck, and I got a great price on trade in. Never had an issue with it in the 3 years I had it.
I think it's great in sport mode. If it's in normal mode, I feel like it's a bit sluggish which is probably by design to get better mpg's for epa testing.
My slightly-educated guess is the surging you felt was the ECU pulling timing due to the knock sensors reporting some knock because of the 87 octane. This is just the ECU doing it's job correctly to protect the engine. The way to test this theory is have someone datalog 87 octane vs 91/93 octane...
For a big truck on 35's, it handles like a sports car at highway speeds. Plus, it really likes to cruise at around 70-75. I'm very impressed at how well the Raptor drives on road being that it is designed as an offroad truck. Many times I'll be driving on a open highway with little to no traffic...
I wouldn't put anything less than 91 in these trucks. I know the manual says 87 is fine, and I'm sure it is. I just wouldn't want the engine to knock at all and pull timing like you said.
Also, I will only run top tier gas in any vehicle. Home | Top Tier Gas It makes a difference. I've seen...
