I went OEM for my 12, last one lasted 7 years.

I had KO,s originally on my gen 1, then replaced with KO2s twice, 1st set was C rated and 2nd set was D rated. C rated tires were ok to the end of life, D rated set had around 35k on them and it was scary on wet roads. I really like KO2s but once their worn replace ASAP.

I have hauled 16 foot 2x6s, I secured half of an extension ladder at the front of the bed, tailgate down and strapped it down at the back then secured the boards to the ladder, worked well for me.
