    Turning / Cutting brake install

I measured voltage at the caliper. There are only two wires, and the system seems to operate with +12V down one wire when engaging the E-caliper, then reversing polarity and sending +12V down the other wire to release the E-caliper. I also noticed that if you unplug the caliper wires from the...

Mounting plate for new Harbor Freight Badlands jack?

https://www.911motorsports.net/VehicleTrailer-Mounts--for-Badland-3-ton-Off-road-Floor-Jack--Harbor-Freight-Mounting-kit_p_1117.html apparently these guys will have a Badlands specific mount in a few days edit: I've had a HF alum 'racing' jack in the bed of my raptor for 6 years and it's been...

    GEN 2 GPS Bracket

I mounted my Point-1 antenna on the GJ 3rd brake light. Took some fab time but it looks great and its out of the way. Don't have any pics but can get one if you need it.

    Switch-Pros Master Off

Aw bummer. I have LED too and hoping to use the high beam trick. Regarding your question - as they described it, you can program one of the buttons to kill any of the others.

    Switch-Pros Master Off

Just a thought - was talking to the sPOD guys at SEMA and they said you can wire your OEM highbeams stalk to their device, and set it up to switch off your offroad lights. Seemed like the most intuitive way to do it plus you don't have to take your hands off the wheel, but might take some...

Robby Woods DD 4-link build - The Ultimate Enduro Truck

Yeah - I'm wondering if I should get the amber wide cornering lenses to tame the two S2 pros. Alternatively, the spot lenses might be effective against tailgaters

Robby Woods DD 4-link build - The Ultimate Enduro Truck

One of the current projects that I could use some help with. I 'm going to run two amber chase lights in a GJ housing. In the center position I'm planning to use an S2 sport for a BRAKE light. I haven't found anyone that's done this. I'm not a fan of the three little LEDs, but I don't know if...

Robby Woods DD 4-link build - The Ultimate Enduro Truck

One month update. Got the truck back home and haven't really been driving it - it's been torn apart for a bunch of work. They're not as pretty as raptor seats, but now they feel better. Had foam added to the thigh and back bolsters for a custom fit. The seats really hold you in place...

Any updates with the electric parking brake idea?

Its turned out really well. Heading there to get it later this week. thanks

Wild eh? I figured they'd just do the typical side exhaust - punch a 3" tube through the bedside, metal trim ring, etc. This square style is totally unconventional but I like that about it.

That's a great data point, thanks. A separate rear caliper system would also provide some redundancy. Good insurance when you're way out in nowhere.

Cool, just ordered the Alcon 6 pot front kit. Thanks for the tip.

Yea they did a great job with it. I needed it to be quick detach since I'll only use it when camping with my GF. Otherwise I'll remove the rack&RTT and keep it in the garage. I built a system using a Harbor Freight hoist to lift and store the setup in my garage. New Rack:

That was the suspicion in the other thread. A lot of electronics in these trucks! Hopefully turning off the TC would allow the feature to work correctly. I don't know how to test this beyond just building the hardware and then seeing what the software thinks...

I think at this point, you're probably right. A completely independent system that doesn't F with any of the factory stuff. The hoon handle is already installed, just need a little master cylinder and secondary calipers.

Robby Woods DD 4-link build - The Ultimate Enduro Truck

Side note, I'm also trying to design a turning brake for this truck. In another thread, someone was experimenting with activating the rear electric parking brakes independently, which should reproduce the "trail turn" feature. I'm still in the R&D phase of that project, but chime in if you...

I have the E parking brake, so maybe only fronts for me too. Did you do any objective before/after tests, or just feels better, or?

That's my limited observation - lots of "brake upgrades" don't have much data on actual performance&reliability gains. I'm not against it, but it's gotta do more than just look cool.

Yes. Just want to get this thing on the (off) road without further delays and complications. Then we'll see how the stock brakes handle the bigger tires. What are people doing for brake upgrades these days? I'm not up to speed on that stuff

Robby Woods DD 4-link build - The Ultimate Enduro Truck

Oh cool, how's your build going? The only way to fit 40's on this chassis is to move the lower portion of the firewall back, and/or the headlights forward. He kinda splits the difference and does both. So yea, that piece you see is a firewall reduction panel. Then the headlights are moved...

What, you don't like how the duct tape matches the Steel-It? :D Appreciate the link, I'll have to pick one of those up. Truck is "done" but doesn't run right. Tracked it down to the throttle body that must been fried with all the welding. I had a new one mailed out to them so hopefully...

Robby Woods DD 4-link build - The Ultimate Enduro Truck

Hey thanks, the truck is slowly coming along. Should be cool when it's done - feel like I've been saying that for a while now! That makes sense about your race truck. The first step in swapping a driveshaft on THIS truck will involve a trip to the cooler for a fresh beer!

    Turning / Cutting brake install

Same here. How have you implemented this in your truck? A hoon handle would be fun, but main functionality we're trying to accomplish is 'trail turn'. So locking a left or right parking brake would work. I'd imagine that with the correct supply voltage, and a diode on the OEM parking brake...
