Thanks for all the input, I will be able to sleep soundly tonight knowing that im not the only one with the knocking sound. I guess im a little gun shy because the 5.4 in my old truck started knocking and 3 weeks later kicked the bucket. Costing me 4k and 3 weeks without a truck.
Ok so I have done a little more research. Rigid has recently come out with the SR-Q flush mount back up kit, they are a little bigger than the SR-M lights and are very reasonably priced at 260 for the whole kit. I think im going to go with the SR-Q's rather than the D2 flush mounts because of...
I went outside to record a video, started the truck and......... no knocking noise. Thats about how it goes. If it decides to start making that noise again I will be sure to record a video of it.
Thats exactly what I was thinking about doing. The main question I have is are the lights too bright for the backup camera? I have heard rumors that they can "washout" the image on the display.
My Raptor is 4 weeks old and has been off roaded quite a bit. I noticed a slight knocking sound coming from the engine right after I start it up. Any idea what is causing this sound. I havent had any issues with the engine performance or 4wd at all, just a slight knocking sound. Opinions?
Very nice, I like how they are tucked out of the way. The lights I was looking at are more like the full size D2s but flush mounted. What is the product number of the lights you have? Also how do you have them wired, do you have them run to an aux switch or do they automatically come on when you...
Can someone post some pictures of Rigid lights mounted in the stock rear bumper. A local shop quoted me 475 for the lights and installation, Im kicking around the idea of getting them just want to see what they would look like before I go cutting holes in my bumper.
I am thinking about powder coating the beadlock rings on my Raptor to match the blue flame color of the truck. Any opinions? Also the stock bolts in the beadlock rings are corroding an are starting to look like shit. Where can I find higher quality replacements? The truck is 4 weeks old and im...
Pins is shut down for the day, where are the Houston raptor guys going? I ran north and south packery last light and it was pretty soft, just like I like it. South packary past Bob hall was pretty damn fun. Looks like that's where I'm headed.
Just heard they shut the beach down for vehicles, not sure for how long. My best guess is that the tide is up really high because of the storm in the gulf and there isn't much room between the water and dunes. If anyone has any more info please post.

I am headed down to Corpus this friday and will be running PINS saturday night to avoid the pesky park rangers. If anyone is going to be down in corpus and wants to join in the run please let me know.
Thanks for all the info yall, I think im going to leave my wheels like they are and buy a second set of beadlocks for extreme terrain. Plus if I have a second set of wheels I can run a more aggressive tire on my second set of wheels than I would want to run on the road.
When I picked up my brand new 2013 the bumper was completely out of alignment. I didnt realize it until the day after I picked it up. 1 day in the shop and they got it all fixed up.
My Raptor has the upgraded optional beadlock wheels. I havent found a spot I cant get through with the tires fully aired up. I was considering converting my wheels to true beadlocks just in case I need to air down for something nasty. Is it street legal to run the SVT wheels with the beadlock...
Mid perch mod opinions
I am thinking about getting the mid perch mod done on my brand new 2013 Raptor. The shop is quoting me 275 for the modification and front end alignment. Is it worth dropping 275 just to raise the front in a bit?
I just got my new 2013 Raptor and was wanting to put some aftermarket lights on it. I am just looking for suggestions/ recommendations from guys who have already lit their rig up like the sun.
