Still driving the truck around...mileage is just under 74k currently. I already bought another vehicle that I got a good deal on without trading the truck in, so I am no longer needing to trade in, but I still don't need so many vehicles.
Price lowered to $39k firm.
I have decided that I need to get something that's a bit better for commuting. Between MPG, not fitting in parking garages, or small downtown parking spaces, I think I may need a new daily driver.
2012 F-150 SVT Raptor SCREW
Mileage: 73,3xx (mileage will continue to climb as it is my daily...
Couple other issues I have noticed...
1. Rear speakers and sub do not work. Not sure why.
2. DVD has the E-brake trigger wire connected, so I need to figure out where that is and ground it out.
3. Tried to cut and the brown loop, outer wire and tied into the Mute wire on the head unit...
I finally decided to upgrade the factory Sony (non-NAV) head unit in my 2012 Raptor and install the Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX.
What I bought was:
Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX
PAC MS-FRD1 (Interface w/ SYNC Retention)
PAC SWI-RC (Steering Wheel Control)
Metra 95-5820SS (Mounting Kit)
I have the...
I know mosquito can be quite bad up there, is there any better or worse times that we can plan around? I know the wife and I will want to at least be able to walk around some and explore outside of the truck, and I don't want to deal with walls of mosquito if I can help it.
We've already decided we were making the trip, just weren't sure if it would be the summer of 2016 or 2017. So if there was a group of trucks going, it may make the trip better or worse depending on what everyone has planned. Our trip was designed around seeing some new places and things.
I...
I'm glad I found this thread. The wife and I have been planning to do this next summer already...except we were not wanting to do some mad dash to Alaska and did want to take in some sites along the way from Houston to Alaska. Then head up to Fairbanks and up the Dalton Pass some, but I don't...
Pending sale to private party FRF member...not a big difference in price, but glad to see a forum member get the truck at this price, then another future Raptor owner having to pay $3-4k more at the car dealership.
Yea, I would love to do a courtesy purchase through a dealership to save on the taxes, but since the vehicle I am planning to purchase is privately owned and it will not pass local emissions or inspection requirements that the dealership is required to do in order to legally sell me the car I...
Got offered $50k at Carmax and $50,500 at Texas Direct Auto today, so unless someone wants it for $51k between now and this weekend, I'll just unload it at Texas Direct on Saturday.
I have a pair of RPG tie rods that I bought from a local Raptor Club, but I have decided that the Raptor isn't for me so I am selling the truck and selling the rods. The rods have low miles on them, not bent, but do have some small scratches and such on them from wrenches and such being used to...
I'm not in a hurry to sell the truck, but I think at $51k I'd like to think it would sell decently quick. I put it up on craigslist locally as well, so we'll see. I am leaning towards the ZR1, but I would consider the right Z06. The GTR is likely a no-go. They are pretty affordable to get up...
Dealership offered me $49k for a buy out....if they had something worth trading for, I'd just trade it in, but I haven't found a replacement for the Raptor just yet. So if I can get at least $51k for the truck outright, I'd just do that, but if not I'll just trade it in and eat the $2k and move...
Yea, I've done the highly modified C6Z06 a few years back....been wanting a ZR1 for a while, but the GTR has always intrigued me. After a test drive in one the other day though, I'm not so sure, so I am leaning towards another Vette right now. I'd love to keep the truck and have sports car...
