Our kit was designed to ensure protection at all four corners. The front guards are designed to protect the vacuum controlled 4wd actuators (IWE's). The rear does not have a vacuum system, but it does have a very vulnerable ABS that is routed on the front side of the axle. Our rear guards protect this.

Here is a picture of the rear guards installed on a Raptor...protecting the ABS line.

I ended up getting a set. Don't do what I did and upgrade the hardware for the $8 option. You can only use those on the rears, the fronts are smaller so I didn't even bother using them. They also no longer label them so posted a picture when you get yours of where they go. Still glad I got them.

I would like to correct my previous statement concerning the hardware upgrade. There was 2 sizes provided. The two larger ones came out of the bag first and I didn't look close enough to see that the other two were actually smaller. So this upgrade is still a valid option. Sorry.

I know this thread is old but I gotta thank Eagle Keeper for the great pics. Never would have figured where each one went without the help. SDHQ provides no instructions and no labels or markings. This forum is a great source of information and member input is so appreciated.

There is nothing wrong with posting in an old thread, thanks for looking for it!! It is a much better solution, as opposed to having multiple threads on the same topic.
