Really not trying to sound like the cliché type response, but I don't think that option really "syncs" with this more specific type-truck. That said, if it were on the option board and DIDN'T cost an additional $2500 - I'd probably clicked it.

Anyone have experience with the cooled seats on 16 F-150s? Are they better than the current Raptors? They'll likely be the same in 17 Raptors. Hopefully they cool a little bit better.

The cooling function on the 16 platinum's truly SUCK! I've had mine in for repairs twice due to lack of air movement, The dealership claims it is the way the new design works. When Compared to the Raptor there is no comparison. The seat cushions are also thinner i assume to save weight, and even with the massage feature they pale in comparison to the raptors seats during long drives.

Dang that makes me rethink getting 802A. That's one of the only features I really really wanted. Sounds like it's not worth it. I imagine that the Raptor will have the same cooling system unfortunately. Thanks for the response. Maybe I'll swing by Ford to try them out too.

the leather material is loose fitting and not taught like on the raptor. i'm not even close to happy with the seats. All the other tech on the truck seams to be pretty sweet, just the seats and the ecopoop motor i hate.

Is there some indication that the seats in the R2 are the same as the regular F-150.

I never owned a regular f-150, but sat in a few and I don't recall the seats being identical to my Raptor. But I wasn't in a ton of them.

Seats were unique to the Raptor in the previous model, but I'm pretty sure the cooling system was not unique. We're speculating that the 802A seats are very similar to Platinum seats, but a few tweaks. Who knows really. Hopefully the leather quality is good, and they improve the cooling feature, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

@mberger111 ok cool. I didnt think they were the same.

I was never impressed with coolers on my Raptor. Now on my 350, they are great. If the 17 is half as good as those I'll be happy.

What year is your 350? I would imagine that the whole line of current trucks would share the same cooling system. Hopefully they're all better than the current trucks.
