Blown IWE (multiple times) and Bruised Ego

OEM locking ring inside the IWE verses the RCV locking ring.. OEM is unknown material where RCV locking ring is 300M, the same material RCV uses in their axles.. As many FRF members can attest, I have been obsessed with making these eliminators. They have been put through their paces in...

Better tires to replace stock BFG's? (sticking with 35s)

Duratracs are good all around tires... Currently I am trying out Cooper Discoverer A/T3 Since the Raptor is currently my wife's grocery getter and is actually spending more time on the road than off road.

Does this sound like an IWE issue?

The other part of the puzzle is when the IWE wear, they produce metal shavings. These shavings will get in the needle bearing of the hub bearing. Then when you install the new IWE, the shavings will be in the new IWE and tear it up and ruin the wheel bearings.

    Dorman IWE

In my opinion they seem better, at least the rubber material for diaphragm seems to me to last longer. The price is better, and amazon is better than stealership stock.

Blown IWE (multiple times) and Bruised Ego

Issues have been there since 2004, granted it wasn't until the Raptor came out the issue was accelerated.. Previous years you would see this issue crop up around 60k miles. With the higher hp and the addition of torsen caused accelerated wear and breakage.

Everything you wanted to know about IWE and then some...

That is stage 4 spindle... The brake kit will fit stock spindle and many aftermarket. The upgraded hub requires new spindle.. I believe there will be two versions one that requires new upper and lower and one that works with stock/other control arms. (I will verify this) -Greg (aka Squatting Dog)

Alcon 6 piston brake kit with stock 17" wheels

Price seems high, let's compare to other big brake kits on the market.. Brembo GT Front Brake kit $4,795 No rear kit available Baer Brake kit front $3,895.99 Baer Brake kit rear $3,895.95 Baer brake kit all 4 wheels $7,791 All above kits require 20" wheels, Alcon is the ONLY one able to...

Alcon 6 piston brake kit with stock 17" wheels

That's right.. This brake kit will bolt on to a fully stock truck if you want. Factory spindles and suspension and 17" wheels. But obviously it will also bolt on to any aftermarket kits that use the same brake set up as stock. 6 piston opposing calipers with better rotors. And yes they fit...
