Also just an update Roush has released a new LTR upgrade for
those cooler temps that's works with the
smaller model that we have. Extra cool, to keep the hp up. ;p Just fyi since I know
Whipple has a heat exchanger upgrade and if any Roush guy were wondering
when ours was coming, well here it is fellas.

I have talked to Whipple about doing variable fans and a thermostat, but this would increase the price significantly.
And the whole idea behind the fans is to get the intercooler fluid as cold as possible at all times, so there may be some draw backs going that route.

Going to have to do a little research and see if we can do something on our own.

I don't hear them inside the cab unless I get close to a van or another pickup and I have the window down and radio off.

I don't mind them. They sound like a jet plane.

Plus. The exhaust sound seriously drowns them out

The fans don't seem too bad once you have the engine on...theses rear drive whipples are a bit noisier regardless...it has grown on me but at first it was weird.

I don't believe they are. But I have no complaints, and there are various examples of high hp and
boosted vehicles running larger intercoolers without fans. But I can see the benefits also, just nothing
first hand naturally. Anyways like I said I don't think theirs anys plans for fans.

I know some of you guys wanted to see more videos and I just don't have the time to play.

So I just made one of my daily trip into work at 6am, it's 28 minutes long I really don't do anything special or crazy. It's just a drive in the concrete jungle.
I take all the back streets to avoid the bumper to bumper traffic that's already present on the major roads heading into the city.

I did change some of the PIDs (Live Icons) to show air intake temps, outside air and engine temp.
And I changed the HP to rear wheel.
I did three little bursts one at around 9 1/2 minutes in and another going up the bridge and then at the end all about 3/4 to 7/8 throttle.
I will to get a full 4x4 launch like the first one I posted with the fwhp (Live Icon) but now I will use rwhp PID.

Note: I recorded it in 1080p (2.4 gigs) and it took two hours to upload at 5 megs upstream and then 2 1/2 hours for YouTube just to convert it,
so there are some glitches in the video about halfway through.
