I got confirmation that I am off on the 3rd, so who wants to pre run the first section and do some trail marking?

Crap, just saw they have a sprial bound edition- wish I had that.

I have the same book for AZ and came to the same conclusion you did. I wish I had known about the spiral bound version!

These books are awesome for finding places to go run, It's how I plan most of my trips. Once I actually have a Lowrance in my truck I'll be able to load whole routes into it.

I have a membership to Hiking Trails, Mountain Bike Trails & Trail Maps | Trails.com that has access to tons of trail books, including the Nevada Trails Western region guide. Even better than that, is they came out with a mobile app not too long ago, and you can save trail guides for your trip, right to your phone for easy access out on the trail.

I've used it countless times over the years, and highly recommend it to anybody looking for trail info. They offer a free, full featured, 14 day trial too, so you can get a taste of what they have to offer.

Sorry for chiming in on page 16... been a little busy. The girlfriend and I are still planning to make the trip but we'll be heading home the same day. Do you have a rough idea of when we might be off the trails?

Hmmm...rough idea...when everyone is hungry and ready for a beer back downtown...lol.

5 or 6, that's if we don't want to keep playing around. But it's easy to head out and back home at anytime. Even if some or most of the group wants to still play in the dirt, easy in, easy out. So you can head out whenever.

Dude, just keep an eye our for the VORRA course (150 mile loop through desert) Reno run, that should be epic. You'll for sure have to make that one. I started a thread for that one already, for Raptor Expeditions to host...wheels are in motion.
