Another newbie here, first time Raptor owner for a few weeks now. picked up a 2020 Gen 2 in Oxford White. She has 24k miles and new Method Wheels and 37 inch Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I'm a long time Ford owner and first time Raptor owner. Looking forward to all the advice and expertise here. I had been looking for a while when I found her at a VW Dealership here locally. I don't think they really new what they had. I know.... post a picture or it's a Prius.

I wish I knew exactly what the previous owner did. The dealer had no info. Runs great and still has 16 months of warranty. I have noticed a few hard shifts here and there. Both on the way up and a few when releasing the accelerator. I have never had the 10 speed transmission. Reading some posts here it sounds like a pretty common issue? Do the 2020’s have the Cam phaser issues as well? I’ll have to keep an eye on that.

Supposedly the parts related to the phaser issue that has struck random trucks, was updated late in MY19 to my understanding. But you can contact a dealer to find out if any update pertains to your truck. These transmissions will throw a hard shift from time to time. There may be an update or some have had the learn table reset and that had helped. Other than that, drive the hell out of it.

Thanks all, no upgrades yet. Gonna drive her a bit and go from there. So far I absolutely love it. It does have Rigid fog lights wired into the auxiliary switches and an aftermarket JBL stereo under the backseat.

The shifting issue is very sporadic, I’ll have a dealer check it out for piece of
mind.

Thanks for the Cam phaser info. The Carfax was clean and only had regular service noted.

I’m looking forward to getting her dirty, now I just need some days away from work.
