I haven’t gotten super aggressive with it yet, but I tested out the OEM+ in normal and sport mode on the way home yesterday.

Normal is subtle but noticeably smoother under acceleration (light and heavy).

Sport is WAY smoother with no abrupt or hunting shifts, including the harsh 4-5.

In both modes, the truck feels like it has to work less when I give it gas and picks ups the acceleration much faster.

I’ll report back when I get some time to do more spirited driving with the Sport TCM mode, but through the otter threads there have been some other reviews as well.

I have a goosetuned stage 1 ECM and they go together very well.

Thanks, that’s awesome.

I DD the Raptor and typically don’t race from light to light. Not really in a rush to get to work lol
I find the shifts are slow and I believe that the drivers behind me do as well. Maybe I’m driving slow but sometimes Prius are passing me haha

I wonder if the TCM provides better fuel economy in the OEM mode. Not really why I bought a Raptor but nice to have that option when driving easy.

I’m at Cobb OTS stage 1 and eventually I want stage 2. Dying to try balls out TCM Sport.

I purchased the transmission tune the other night. And I want to thank Aaron@Cobb because he was patient and helpful.

The first thing I will say, i have had an issue with the stock transmission since the day I purchased it. My build date is late May 2018 so unfortunately I don’t qualify for the updated TCM tune from Ford.

I have had slamming into drive on occasion, super harsh Sport 4-5 shift, “slipping” into 3-4 after sitting for a few hours.

I have probably put on 250 miles since applying the tune (OEM+) and purposely tried to get the three situations above to happen. Nothing. The truck drives like it should have from Ford. Smooth, shifts are firm and quick but ...smooth. It also doesn’t seem to hunt for gears anymore.

Sport mode is fantastic.

Funny enough is that my wife took the truck out last night to go get groceries, and she called me to ask what I did to the truck. I asked her what she meant and she just said she wasn’t sure it just seemed smoother than normal. (She drives it maybe once a week.)

Dang, this is kind of pushing me to purchase the AP with TCM support.
I loved having my AP with my STI.
The only thing I'm worried about with the Raptor is voiding warranty :(

I followed the instructions. When I connect to truck it states that TCM is not supported my my model. I tried to reload license and get “key has already been used with this access port”.
Make sure you don’t have beta updates checked on the accessport manager. I found this out as I had the same message

Man, the amount of bitching about the price is incredible... You pay to play!

Cobb has been around for a long time, I've run them on several of my BMW's. $1K for the full tune and Accessport isn't all that bad in my opinion. There are cheaper, but I personally feel the Accessport is a differentiation. I've run three of them in the past and plan to purchase one this week for the Raptor.
Umm, yeah but it's $340 just for the TCM tune if you already have the Accessport... **** that. Talk about gouging? You can get MPT (3 tunes including TCM) for $300. It's actually a turn-off how high they've priced this.

Yeah, go back and read post #8. The tunes from other vendors (mainly MPT using the ngauge device) are quite good, but not even close to the level of thoroughness and detail of a Cobb effort.

If you are smart enough to utilize their Accesstuner software you would see their dedication and skill at all aspects of “tuning” from developing their own hardware to the software for every vehicle they decide to invest in. Other tuning vendors utilize someone else’s (HPTuners for MPT) software AND hardware. Thusly the much cheaper “tuning”. Plus, Cobb will tell you the truth on whether hardware is just bling or brings a real improvement. Most others want to sell you everything they can source.

If you’ve never explored the full Cobb experience of their software and understanding of what we need as enthusiasts you really can’t make an informed decision. Either take the leap to the best or remain in the background.

I'm sure Cobb is good - the rollout of the TCM and it's price, especially those that already have the tune is IMO ridiculous. And guess what? MPT will tell you what is just bling and what is BS as well - of special note; MPT has ALWAYS said downpipes don't do shit for the raptor, don't bother. Cobb came out with DPs then realized this. I feel bad for the people that bought the $1400 bling from the company that you say doesn't sell bling. Anyway, I'm not really trying to be a ****/debbie downer/******* (although I can see how this post may counter that statement) I just think Cobb is on a money grab here.
