Hey Forzda 1,

Just to show you I am not biased to aFe, here's a video review on another CAI for Ford F150 3.5 EcoBoost. Please note what the reviewer says after the 10 second sound clip "The engine will retune itself (learn) the higher airflow from the CAI and increase power to match it..."

There's way too much data out there to say that CAI's do nothing for performance.

No hard feelings.

Aloha, HT

It's obvious to me that you believe the hype. I'm sure you go through life just happy as shit because you believe such stuff. That's ok by me, just don't expect the people who actually do the tuning and testing to support your "feels" and anecdotal crap... When you get the time slip, just post it up. Dynos don't count because they are easily manipulated by the person running it to produce whatever "gain" they're trying to sell. Bless your heart.

Man Forzda, I dont know what your trip is but you continue to dis me. That is UNACCEPTABLE. Chill Out! I'm not going to stoop down to your level. It seems I unintentionally hit your CAI nerve? Do you have Facts & Data to back up your CAI OPINIONS? If not then shut the front door! So dozens of companies and thousands of gear heads are all wrong about CAI airflow causing performane improvements and you with all your knowledge of CAI's and engine tuning are right? Are you a mechanic? I have nothing to prove to you. You are going to believe whatever you want to believe. I KNOW from my right foot and G-Force into the back of my seat that this aFe CAI improved my off the line performance to mid range in my othewise stock 17 Raptor SCREW. It burns the rear tires now from dead stop and chirps going into 2nd gear in Normal mode. It did NOT do that before installing this CAI.

The Delusion is strong in this one. Go find someone else to insult, I'm done with this. HaHaHaHa!

Here's what the aFe Stage 2 CAI looks like installed:

We will be drilling a 3/16” weep hole in your internet trolling plans. Ecoboost owners the world over will rejoice at your defeat and what will this be, 10th forum ban between all the various forums you troll?

Your new FRF ban is coming.

Yea, I refuse to use those those K&N type oiled filters too. The oil can get onto the MAF Sensor and some dealer service will blame sensor problems on oiled filters. I ordered my CAI with the paper cone filters instead of the oiled ones.

No MAFs on EcoBoost engines to worry about. They are all MAP based. Paper is the way to go.

So you now have two large cone paper filters? Seems like the perfect setup really. **** the idiot haters.

Good to know - no MAFs! I'll take a pic later with the top cover open of the CAI. Yes, 2 white paper cone filters with black foam prefilters.

This CAI uses the stock bottom half intake box and stock snorkel. The aluminum top half with the filters snaps onto the stock air box using the stock clips. Well engineered, quality product with spots to hook up all the sensors, etc built in. Fit perfectly, no issues. EZ to install.

It comes in Polished Blue or Crinkle Black as well. I would have got the blue if I had the Blue Raptor. That would look really SWEET!

So I finally took my truck in to have them troubleshoot the engine stutter at partial throttle, as well as the hard shifting in sport mode and wow!

They said they only did the recall reflash of the TCU, no ECU flash, but it’s completely different truck now. Much smoother in all modes and no detectable hesitation /stutter at part throttle when cold anymore either.

I also don’t see the instant mpg bouncing all over the place like it was doing previously at part throttle...stays the same when I hold the throttle now. Trans will need to relearn my driving habits again, but it’s already like driving a completely different truck. Wasn’t bad before, but was annoying to have it do this in very limited circumstances when it has so much potential...and for the $$ it frankly needed to be perfect.

Will see how it does tomorrow morning with a truly cold engine after sitting in the garage all night.
