Tailgate appliqué replacement

Is it possible to just swap out the plastic trim piece on tailgate or need entire tailgate?

iirc theyre held in by a fuckton of those plastic pushpins, ive seen the appliques themselves on ebay everynow and then

That has to be replaceable.

It should be easy. From what I saw of what guys with the no appliqué tailgate were doing, they were removing the ******* that fit into the holes on your gate, since it was made for it.

Edit, I forgot that ti tties would be blocked.

It is very much replaceable without changing out the entire tailgate. Looked into this myself as I have a good scratch on mine. The appliqué will run you around $1100. Part # KL3Z-99425A34-AA. As for the work itself, tons and tons of clips. You can find tutorials by just googling it.
