Yes, that's my guess, interference from the ballast. Im not sure why it only happens to certain vehicles. I have had 2 clients so far with aftermarket ballast with the same problem and we tried everything to stop it with no luck. TRS told me that a higher quality ballast like Denso put of less interference because it was better insulated.

This is the first time Ive heard of it on OEM HID's.

I figure they are OEM, they have ford on the front of them.
