Yea I plan to jack up the light with some aluminum tubing. And the reason for there is that I'm gonna get another bumper within the next couple months and I'm not sure where I want to place the bar permiently mount the light or what bumper for that fact yet. When I do get the bumper the light is most likely going there.

If you're getting a replacement bumper, why don't you just mount the light on the OEM bumper, for now, where everyone else does?

Big boss no reason in particular just looking at something different and since the bar is spot I would like it a little higher up.

So thanks to everyone's idea I did a mock up tonight and drove with it. Basically I just zip tied it to the cowl and loosely hooked up the wires. Got up to 60 and the only problem was that it shook pretty bad so I will have to build some reinforcement unless I try the bumper and like it better there. uploadfromtaptalk1391820941694.jpguploadfromtaptalk1391820959113.jpguploadfromtaptalk1391820969100.jpguploadfromtaptalk1391820986324.jpguploadfromtaptalk1391820996423.jpguploadfromtaptalk1391821005580.jpguploadfromtaptalk1391821015515.jpguploadfromtaptalk1391821025768.jpg

There wasn't any glare to the cab and walking up front there wasn't much off the hood. Sorry the pics aren't that good

That's a slick looking setup. Very different and the light should throw a ways more with it being up that much higher.

Thank you. I'm hoping so. It blocks my vision for being able to see the right front of the hood but other than that I'm happy on it going there. Seems like no one else has put one there.

Just curious, how you plan on opening the hood with that thing there without having to take it off all the time

It opened and shut just fine. I had it up far so that I could zip tie it to the holes in the cowl. If I move it back to the second row or holes it opens and shuts no problem.
