So in anticipation of the upcoming Black Friday sales, I am trying to compile a comprehensive list of all the equipment I need to buy, both for regular off road runs and should I wish/have to spend a few days off grid out in the desert.

This is the stuff I have come up so far, feel free to add all the things I don't know I need or forgot I need, and as always any suggestions as to any specific brands/models for any of these things is greatly appreciated. (and yes I am researching all this stuff from my end as well)

- Satellite phone
- OHV off road GPS (Lawrance/Magellan/LeadNav)
- Chase radio
- Maxtrax (do they work as a bridge as well or do I need something else?)
- Recovery/Come along kit
- Center console safe (console vault/lockrdown)
- Shovel
- Axe
- Compact chainsaw
- Air compressor
- Solar generator
- Fire extinguisher
- Tire patch kit
- Heavy duty jack (something like hi-lift?)
- Tool kit
- Multitool
- Medical kit
- Camping kit
- Bug out bag
- Blankets, ropes, paper products, wetness, etc.

Then obviously food, water, and additional fuel.

------------------------------

I also wanted to note that I decided to switch my front bumper setup to a non winch version ... between the cost of the winch and the intercooler relocate it was coming out to almost $3k just to have a winch. In the short term I don't plan to be out there by myself, so the recovery kit will be there in case someone needs to pull me out of trouble. If down the line I feel like winch is a must I can revisit it with a portable winch setup.

Haven't taken on shakedown yet, but excited for new Teardrop. :)

SoulSea,
As long as things under the netting can't work their way through the spaces between the webbing. Maybe a tarp over everything but under the netting?
Also for a fire extinguisher go to one of the airplane online suppliers and get a Halon extinguisher. The High Lift Jack has many uses; but without a way of lifting the truck it won't be much help. A"Lift Mate" allows the Jack to lift a wheel with openings. There was recently a new attachment made that fits over the tow hooks; also one for the receiver hitch. I would also suggest a base for the jack as in soft dirt/sand the jack will bury the base plate.
You seem to have your priorities in order. Think things through, and do what you think is most important. Every trip will present new challenges and you will find that there is always something that needs to be tweaked, things you don't need, and some you do...
Bon courage!

So far so good! Roomier than the standard offroad teardrops (has a bunk bed setup for the kiddos) but I can still see over the fenders with the Raptor side mirrors.

Worst part was 90+ day delay by the builder so we missed most of the 2017 season but looking forward to next year.
