When I first test drove my Raptor I didn't notice any marks. I also didn't notice when I picked it up, but it was cloudy out. Once I got home and looked during sunlight I noticed that the black pieces of the door next to the side windows (the piece that has the keyless entry code buttons) have all these light scratches/marks in them. Kinda like the dealer washed the truck with a dirty rag or a brush.
Has anyone else noticed this on their Raptor?

That's just black tape in case you didn't know. The 04-08 trucks had the same gloss finish and the same scratches. The 09-14 have a matte finish.

Tape, sticker, gloss vinyl with adhesive on the back, however you want to say it. Its not paint. Lots of vehicles are like that on the doors.

I can't say for sure about the Gen1, but the Gen2 is most definitely paint an considering that my wife's 2011 Edge sport is also painted, I would imagine the Gen1 is also paint.

Yup, pretty sure it is paint. Definitely scratches easy, especially if people are grabbing the area to close the doors.

I had mine done with Suntek ppf before they got too bad. Now I don't have to keep telling passengers to please use the handles to close the door. (Yeah it is an off-road truck and I'm a ***** apparently)

No it's NOT normal. Dealers aren't known for using the best products and techniques when they "detail". You would be even more surprised how much damage is done before the truck even leaves the factory. The b pillars can be polished and I would definitely recommend PPF on them afterwards as the black shows even the micro marring incredibly easy.
