You might look at your unit and see if it has the same jack...seems like it would....

It does, that’s were I connect the mic. We have same model

So there's also a mic jack on the body of the unit. Mine will prolly stay plugged in down there and out of the way most all the time. Going on runs, I can see plugging in to the control unit and just letting the mic hang in the cup holder. I had the bluetooth card installed too, so I'm hoping it will play through the truck stereo, but no luck yet just by fiddling with it.

I need lessons to learn this radio. Going to get my Ham license this winter, hopefully meet some other folks who know all about this.
