i replaced the bushings on mine and it seemed to fix my rattle issue. i am still debating if i want to remove it or not, for now im used to how the truck handles so probably keep it on. i think the outer bushing are peobably worn a bit. havent checked so i dont know
I did the same debate, finally took it off chasing front end clunks (still there, thinking that's a never ending chase that just moves from one component to another and back again, so these bushings and links are probably good to go). Haven't noticed any ill effects and uneven huge potholes seem less violent but YMMV and could be my imagination heh. As others have mentioned you could always pull off one link and see if you can tell...just maybe not right before you race Pikes Peak or something!
