wiring next to factory loom

Has anybody used the access of the wire loom to pass through the fire wall?


Trying to hook up my vhf radio and trying to get through firewall. Found the pass through of aux wires and decided to pull the plug, pass the wires through and reinsert plug.


Does anyone see any pronlems doing this?

yes. dont do it that way. you will get water and dirt inside your cab.

use that little nipple above the main harness. poke through it eith a long pokey thing..... coat hanger or antenna if you have one

Thats what i was afraid of. Time to rewire.

i forgot to mention, the wire being there against metal can eventuallywear throught thr insulation causing a short

After two more hours of doing it the right way. Finally got my vhf radio installed. Now just have to wait on antenna. Thanks for the help....once again carstereo
