thanks for the info
i ll be driving it daily for work most of the time carrying plywood, drywall and my tools
like the looks on 20” venomrex wheels
what would give me better ride on road
17’s or 20’s
thanks
You'll be fine with 20's, and the Raptor suspension is so soft, you will still be more comfortable than any other F-150 on the road. The Ridge Grapplers, just like the new Ykohama MT03's that I have now are relatively quiet tires compared to most others with agressive sidewalls, as long as you rotate/balance them every 3k-5k miles. Very happy with both, but the Yoko MT03's were about 4 lbs less per tire when compared to same Ridge Grappler size.
Since my wheels got heavier going to the 17" Black Rhino's, I offset some of that with the Yoko's. The Vorsteiner wheels are great looking and very light compared to most truck wheels. With 35x12.5R20 size, I was using E-rated tires with 0 issues. Not sure if D-Rated were available in that size. However, I'm still much happier having gone to 17's. You can run over almost everything without damaging your wheels. Trust me. I've even glided over a 24' extension ladder at 75mph on the highway, and hardly felt a thing.....freaked me and my son out, until I saw it in the rearview mirror.....somehow the bobtail truck in front of me switched lanes without running it over.....

Again, these questions are a bit suggestive. I don't mind my 37" Mickey Thompsons. I drive 3 hours each way to work, but that might not be what is good for others. Look at the overall purpose of the truck is for you and mod accordingly. The looks department is gonna be entirely up to you.
You drive 3 hrs each way for work? Is this a daily routine or multiple days on, multiple days off type thing?

If you plan to do train tracks at 80+ do the 17’s and don’t look back. Wouldn’t jump with 20’s either.

Outside of looks which is up to you. Unless your drive one side of the extreme or the other, you can do 17 or 20 sized wheels and most likely be fine with a good tire for that job. Obviously 17’s are native to the Raptor and it was developed with them.

Im a big fan of the stock 17" beadlock capable wheels with lock rings installed. I have the stock 35" Mud Terrains and have swapped to black lug nuts.

20’s are a horrible idea. Get scratched on curbs, ride worse, compounds are different. reduced sidewalls = less bandwidth to play with airing down. De-bead easier if yr off road. Cost more, less options of type of tire. Less readily avail /Less likely to be able to borrow one if u need it off road. I honestly cant see any positives. Maybe a slight weight reduction? Literally dont make you look cooler because people who actually wheel understand All the disadvantages .
