Daaaamn, rough on the newb.
If you want some fun but not difficult Phoenix area trails, try Cave Creek to Seven Springs and come on out to Bloody Basin road.
Or Crown King to Prescott via the Senator Highway. You can even do both together and make a full day of it.
Both are fun and not too challenging runs that will give you a bit of tight back roads and open roads. THe Bloody Basin road has a nice winding and wide section just east of I17 that you can open it up on and do some drifting. Crown King to Prescott is likely snowed in now tho.
