Anyone swapped the 2013 Raptor's HID headlights out for the chrome equivalent on the regular F150s with HID? Any technical issues?

Pictures?

Anyone know the part numbers?

Are the ballasts contained within the lights? Want to know what else would I need to order if I wanted to make them useful to a non-HID F150 - then can maybe recover some of the cost of buying the chrome ones. (Very few F150's coming into the country have the factory HID if they're not a Raptor)

Not really loving the blacked out front end on the Raptor - especially when all the aftermarket lights will have the chrome reflectors in them.

By chrome headlights do you mean these? If so I may could figure it out. If you want to run these headlights your gonna hav to get external ballasts and replace the stock halogen bulb with a HID bulb. Probobally about $100 tops. If your looking to get rid of the black 2013 projector headlights I would be very interested for the right price.

Ehhh. I would stick with gray personally. Besides that and our Ford emblem there is no chrome on our trucks.

Other than the color, they're identical.

Yep - that's the ones I'm referring to... factory OEM...

Does anyone know if the ballast is part of the headlamp housing or if it's a separate part? I figure if I get the whole package then I can sell the headlights the Raptor came with to someone with a non-HID F150 / older Raptor and recover some of the cost of going chrome...

I plan on adding a little more shiny stuff, albeit tastefully. The Rigid lights everywhere obviously have that sparkle - and black powdercoat bumpers with chrome D-rings, polished fairlead, alloy wheels, and minor details. Not overboard - just subtle yet classy IMO.

For reference - here's my Jeep...

And my old truck...

And my other weekend toy...

The Raptor just needs a little more shiny stuff to fit in :)

Personally I just don't like the blacked out headlights people put on the Jeeps - so that's the reason to want to change.

The previous owner of mine went a slightly different route, he had the stock ones opened up and paint matched silver. I like it. Best pic I could find

Bieber retired from music. Poor Beagle.

I remember this poster as a child. It was a bunch of red apples all stacked and lined up with a bright green one right in the middle.

Be the green apple.
