I drove my new 2019 Raptor tonight about 8.30 pm when the sun was on the horizon shinning in. I instantly saw a streak down the driver side A-pillar area in the glass. It turns out this is the lamination or something showing thru from the inside layers of the glass. In normal light and 90% of the daylight hours you cannot even see it, but when the sun hits the windshield right it looks like it is completely smudged.
See the attached pic, its hard to get a good picture, but you can see the fussy area where the streakiness is. I am assuming Ford will replace the windshield under warranty but I am very fearful of them scratching or messing up the truck in the process, especially with all the electronics in and on the windshield.
Has anyone else seen defects like this in the lamination of the windshield glass?
My 2003 F-150 had a similar issue but it was only a 1" area and not down the entire windshield. They replaced that windshield 2 times under warranty.
