SIDE VENTS GEN 3

Hello guys , does anyone know on the Gen 3 side vents are they one solid piece or do the vents slide off when you pull the unit off. My paint guy who is painting them to match the body had some concerns regarding the slots , it may not paint the best if he has to go in the vent with spray gun ,

They are separate pieces that are plastic welded together.
