I used a PAC install kit on my 800a: And the installed Alpines new halo9: It’s a two piece unit. The chassis is a single din and then the 9” floating display gets installed to the chassis after the bezel is installed. I also installed alpines power pack at the same time. The power pack gives me 45 watts rms to all four door speakers and mounted behind the bezel as well. The head unit offers time alignment, multiple crossover settings and pretty much infinite equalizer settings. Sounds great and adds a ton of punch with the amp. Day 2 of raptor ownership: Alpine power pack ktm-445a amplifier: Completed install: The PAC install kit would allow any double din to work with a 800a but I chose the 9” halo9. Also alpine makes two different power packs. Part # ktp-445u is a universal kit and ktp-445a is designed for use with an alpine head unit and it’s literally plug and play. The amp harness plugs directly into the head unit and zero splicing/wiring was involved to add the amp other than plugging in the harness. Huge reason I wanted an 800a was as for the upgradable head unit. Upgrading a 801a or 802a headunit is nearly impossible at this time. Also I got my raptor at invoice so for $50,650 out the door (no sales tax in Montana), I’m not sure there’s a better new vehicle available at that price. Only options I got were torsen front diff, trailer brake control, bed extender, and tailgate step.
