That was mostly referring to the full size spare I think....and I'm not sure it's as big of a deal as Ford wants it to be. If you're an off roader, you'll just mount spares in the bed. For the DD folks, you'll just limp along on 35s for a while. Maybe it's just me, but I haven't had a flat in about 2 decades, so it's not a huge concern.
