I've always wanted to ask this, Is Quatar pronounced "cut-ter" or "cut-tar"?

I want to sound local when I come to visit,

I actually get asked that a lot, but its pronounced with a letter that doesn't exist in the english dictionary but the closest and most correct pronunciation that foreigners use would be "Cat-ar" (british) or "Cut-ar" (american)
Both are correct as long as it's not cutter XD
