Anyone make it down there? Hoping to plan a trip down to stay and wheel in the area for a couple days. Might try to organize a mid size run in the spring if anyone’s interested.

Any advice appreciated.

Been there couple of times on an early Raptor Run and a run to watch a race. Usually just overnight. Cool place, decent food, a popular stop for offroaders. If it hasn't changed it was dark as hell when they turned the Gen off, candles in the rooms, etc. Real Mex feel! Not the Taj Mahal. Loved it. If you plan something I would suggest a loop to San Felipe or San Quentin. Trails are well traveled.

That would be a great place to bring a telescope. Hang outside and watch the Andromeda galaxy, an eclipse, or a meteor shower. That would be awesome.

Both of the times I've been there on runs they shut off the generator at 7 or 8 pm. It is so relaxing to sit in a chair with no lights but the stars and have one of their big dogs sitting next to you! So relaxing it almost makes you forget how fun the drive up and back is!
