I agree w/ 2nd statement first not so much. Just don’t see how it WOULDN’T effect airflow/cooling ability of the radiator & besides anytime you cramp the engine bay further it’s going to be tougher to extract heat. For me The other thing that I don’t like about em is they immediately cause you to tamper w/ other systems like the grill shutters & possibly sensors in the grill/bumper correct? Like ambient temp or the active cruise stuff? then there’s the fact that while the dealers/techs may not always be the sharpest if there’s ONE thing the raises the red “modded flag” on a turbo vehicle it’s that universally recognized giant “COBB” IC smiling @ ya through the grill. Even if you’re not tuned- they’ll assume you are/were regardless what you say. And speaking of that, isn’t it also kinda sorta the case you may NEED a tune to run properly & prevent codes w/ a large FMIC - and some CAIs as well? that’s why I just think if you’re going to upgrade the IC sticking w/ a stock mount one like mishimoto/Wagner/Garrett/CVF/whipple etc is a safer bet. Not like you don’t have choices. Aside from the fact I think Ford would have a tough time blaming a stock mounted replacement IC on warranty denial when it requires Zero modification of the vehicle & functions/fits as stock just better flowing.....I also think many dealers wouldn’t even freaking notice it unless they were specifically working on something there & related to it
