There has been a lot of discussion about the possibility that changes via forscan to the APIM at least may be communicated to Ford during the syncs on our trucks. Whether it is or isn’t shouldn’t matter unless the change directly causes a part to fail that is covered under the CPO warranty. Since the changes are just software for the most part, it would be highly unlikely that they could cause a part to fail, e.g. changing DRLs or adding temperature displays to display or folding mirrors with door lock. These changes are not like a CPU tune or other performance modification which does have the potential to cause a part to fail theoretically (increased turbo pressures, altered air/fuel ratios, etc). How a specific dealer service dept. views them is likely variable. I’m not worried about the forescan changes to my truck and probably wouldn’t bother loading back as built values for routine service. If you are concerned, ask the service dept. where you would get service and see what they say.o Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
