yup. Probably 90% of us have had to hear the “ADM BS” pitch. Even when you do your homework, shop around, you are going to get your chain yanked if you are shopping for a Raptor - guaranteed. shop out of state, secure a deal, have the truck delivered locally - covered by the destination charge if you order. You need to coordinate with the local dealer, obviously. get a legit offer and shop it locally. I’ve not been successful at this, my experience has been that dealers who are trying to get ADM over MSRP for the Raptor are convinced they will get it for at least the first year and even when that shiny Raptor is 15 months old, they will not come off it. And to be fair, there are some people paying it. I’ve seen between 2 and 25k over MSRP being asked. Most I’ve heard anyone fess up to was paying $10k over, and that was on the internet... so it has to be true, right ? :-) find a deal from one of the many Stealers hawking their wares here on FRF. Buying service - some banks, credit unions, etc. offer pre-negotiated prices, but the local dealer who was recommended by my credit union bluntly said, that’s nice, but we won’t honor that - $10k over on any Raptor. I even had an MSRP offer in hand from another dealer in the state. The sale mangler told me to go buy it. So I did. If you buy out of state, you can also fly off / drive back. Lots of options, it’s just going to take some work. I suggest that unless you know someone with juice at the stealership, ignore all urban and high volume suburban dealers. Focus on the smaller, advertised as family type stealers. good luck.
