cowl trim with SPV A pillar brackets.

I just installed a set of A pillar lights with SPV brackets. The cowl trim cant tuck the way it could before, do you cut it to fit or just leave it resting against the bracket?

Run it behind the cowl trim to avoid a branch snagging at it, being cut by the hood, and protected from debris. Looks pretty squeezed as it is.
