Nice fix John.
I suggest a piece of pipe insulation taped to it so of it does contact the truck it won't leave a mark.

Another option for the flag is to remove the spring completely. No bounce back. It depends on the thickness of the receiver. I use the same flag on my Raptor with a bed mounted location. I just can't remember if the threads on the flag are long enough to pass through the receiver using the washers and a nut.

Anyways, have fun. Can't wait to see the pics.

Im in, the other option is to buy some 2" angle iron and drill a hole for the hitch pin and one for the flag. Total cost about $5 + flag. I made 4, they are all spoken for.
