Hi bud for a stupid person like me can you please explain what does the shock on sensor do?

So if you have the factory alarm mines an 802a package it’s a factory alarm but no shock sensor like if someone hits the tire or hits it. This is the add on shock sensor that should’ve been factory but it’s sold as an add on. It’s plug and play comes with bracket to mount, sensor, and an led light you can mount factory doesn’t have that either standard.
