[QUOTE="SVTTrooper, post: 1443622, member: 28694"] rugged SUV? I have both a 4Runner and a Jeep SRT.. granted my Runner is a 99 lol but still a Runner is a Runner at heart. sucks that no one vehicle can really check every box on have on your list, but that's no fun lol. everyone who see's my garage says the same thing... " THATS your dailys!?!" HAHA My wife talked about selling our 99 Runner and buying a TRD Pro Runner, but at the end of the day we don't need every vehicle to do what a Raptor does. so she went with the Jeep and let me tell you, not only has it been trouble free over the past 3 years of ownership, it's a F@%KING riot to drive. I love everything about it.. ZF8 transmission is second to none, chipped it's 400 wheel horse, room for 2 80lb dogs and 5 people. Your frustrations over Toyota not offering anything performance wise is the main reason I refuse to buy anything they make. I give them a ridiculously hard time about their lack of passion in their line up, maybe their next gen Tundra they're testing right now will be bet the first time I went to buy a Raptor I bailed on it since I was living downtown and in a condo. didn't have the need for such a truck, or a truck anymore so I sold my lifted GM and bought a 2011 Subaru STi for when I was home. loved every minute I was behind the wheel but once i got a dog it was time to get a truck again. eventually I bought a gen 2 Raptor then got rid of it for my Gen 1. I've wanted a Raptor since the second it debuted in 2009.. so the day I finally took one home I was on cloud 9. it puts a smile on my face every single time I'm behind the wheel. K223 has a good point, put a cap on it. I've been looking for one right now so I can keep my dogs in the box with more gear, as I now have a daughter and don't want them in the cab licking her face constantly lol. If I were in your shoes... I'd look long and hard at the new Bronco (which you said you plan on doing) since you want an SUV, spy shots show a wide one running around so I'm hoping they drop a Raptor version asap. A Raptor with a cap is a great alternative and you won't be disappointed. either way I would definitely ditch the Runner, I know they're amazing but you'll be much happier with a Ford Performance vehicle.
