Hi, For you perspective owners - I bought my 2014 SCREW new @ $500 off MSRP and picked it up a year ago. I drive it daily and 4 days a week commute 150 miles round trip. Here are some real world costs for the truck. Depreciation for buying used will be better, especially if you get mods paid for by the prior owner! 2014 Ford Raptor 2014 Raptor MSRP $56,910.00 Miles 30,693 Costs To Date Truck OTD $60,922.80 Ford 100k Platnium Warranty $2,425.00 Line X Bedliner $608.40 Total Initial Purchase Cost $63,956.20 SVC Bump Stop & Frame Support $1,487.16 SVC Vision X Xmitter Extreme 21" $1,163.16 Deaver +2 Springs $1,506.60 Install Labor SVC $78.00 SVC Method Mesh & Tire Swap $861.00 Paint bumers, Grill & Flairs $969.00 Total Modification Costs $6,064.92 Total Cost $70,021.12 Resale Value (KBB Value) Value - Year 1 Depreciation Dealer Trade - Good Cond -$49,579.00 - $20,442.12 Private Party Sale - $51,319.00 - $18,702.12 Auto Trader - 2014 - $55,000.00 - $15,021.12 Cost of Operation Dealer Service #1 $91.06 Dealer Service #2 $53.86 Dealer Service #3 $28.60 Dealer Service #4 $31.06 Total Service Cost $204.58 Miles 30,693 Avg. Mod's - what make our truck ours! If I sold today and removed the mods might recover $4,000 - $5,000 of cost (I have stock beadlocks which I did not sell - also extended warranty could be turned in and generate 67% of cost recovery, or help with a sale). Of the mods - paint and wheels add looks. 21" light looks cool, but i have only used about a dozen times. Deaver springs help for towing and offroad, but make the ride worse. Bump stops are good for off road. Overall I love the truck and have enjoyed owning it. Given the mileage doesn't make a lot of sense to commute like I do, but I like being high up and have not yet pulled the trigger on a mileage commute car, like a Volkswagen GTI. May do so this year. I see no downside to getting one of these trucks. The dealer service by the book is ridiculiously inexpensive - I do have a $215 30k servcie coming this week, but still this is the cheapest truck to operate I have owned by far. Been offroading 1 time and towed toys to the Sand Dunes 3 times, so not much time spent offroad. But still would rather have this truck than any other I have owned in the past. Drives great! If you are thinking about getting one you will not regret it!
