I heard a grumble about lights that get mounted in the two front corner fog light pocket areas; that the front tires chuck rocks into the unprotected backside of the lights and damage the light wiring, heat sinks, or housings. I'm curious if this is a more common problem that may be going...
Thanks for the reply. So, for the fog light kit you sell, you recommend not buying the BD Ford Upfitter wiring harness? Is that purpose built harness intentionally short for a different application?
Sorry for the confusion, I just assumed the Ford upfitter harness was intended to be used on...
There are plenty of install threads, this is not another one. I recently finished installing the Alternative Offroad hood mounts and just wanted to share some tips that would have made the project infinitely easier.
First off, I tried installing these many months ago. I followed the rules by...
Hey Bailey,
On the first page of this thread there are some complaints about a wiring harness being too short for the fog light kit. I'm assuming the problematic wiring harness mentioned was the included one. I noticed BD separately sells Ford Upfitter Wiring Harnesses as accessories. Are these...
+1.
Although, exhaust notes typically suffer, and we know Raptor owners love thumpin. I'm interested to hear what the new platform sounds like through that beastly looking rear split dual. I'm sure it won't disappoint, but to compare it to the existing setups will be interesting.
I had the same question the past month and did a ton of researching. It's very subjective, since it comes down to whether you like the sound. For me, I ended up with the FRP Sport. Of the people I talked to that had it on their personal trucks for extended periods of time, they said they had no...
Does anyone know the tolerance to be considered hub-centric? For example, if a hub is 87mm, a wheel's bore must be within 'x' millimeters to be considered hub-centric.
Nice. That's impressive to see a company working directly with the Raptor community to make built-to-spec hardware! SDHQ measured the bore diameter at 86.92mm. I'm no expert on what tolerance range is acceptable to make a wheel hub-centric, but that's good enough for me. Thanks for posting.
That's what M64D said as well. Do you happen to know which ones are hub centric? I've scanned their site and can't find any documentation that mentions the bore diameter. I'm assuming the Series 12 is what you guys are referring to, but their spec sheet has no mention of bore diameter. Not...
You don't need hub rings. With a bore of 87.1, the Fuel Trophy should be hub centric to the Raptor.

IDK what he got, but I would highly recommend not going below 0mm unless you intend to modify your...
Thanks Nick! I can't believe how fast you respond.
I now see what you are talking about. I would definitely be avoiding those Fuel wheels with the big UFO dish in the middle, and going for something more along the lines of the Trophy.
Correct, the OEM beadlocks do have exposed lugs. When you...
Don't the Ford beadlock wheels have closed lugs? I'm not too familiar with other Ford wheels, but I am looking more at aftermarket options for the sake of variety.
By "all other Fuel wheels" do you mean everything other than the Trophy wheels? It doesn't seem like the Trophy wheels are double...
I'm trying to find some aftermarket wheels that are hub centric. Just to confirm, if I can find a wheel that has a center bore of 87.1 it will automatically be hub centric on the Raptor, right?
Specifically, I'm looking at the Fuel Trophy D552 17x8.5 which has a bore of 87.1, but I'm wondering...
Glad to hear. Enjoy the satisfying hollow 'thunk' every time a rock hits them at speed. BTW, the only way they go matte is if you don't clean them, so I don't wash them during washes anymore.
IDK why the pictures are displaying sideways, they are not sideways on the hosted site. Apologies.
Objective: Protect paint from rocks.
Solution: Custom fitted urethane mud flaps, removable via rivet nuts.
Difficulty: 7/10. Lots of precision work.
Time: ~8 hours. Not including acquiring...
That's correct.

Anyone know why we have to pull the old screen out? I'm assuming it restricts airflow too much? IMO, this new screen seems a bit like a temporary band-aid. I'm afraid it will just pop right out if it encountered anything more than 5-8psi of air pressure coming...
Depends what your priorities are. For me it was protection & security first, lights and toys second.
Radiator bug screen (made my own first, bought the DBug in the end)
Line-X on bed and rear wheel wells
Bedrug Mats

7qt flat puts me right at the top indent after cycling the engine and waiting 15 min for the oil to drain back down. Remember, the hash mark area on the stick indicates the compliant range, while the two indents indicate the min and max amounts.
I do the following regimen, going farther down the list the more detailing/protecting I want to do. No pressure washing in my regimen.
3-Bucket Wash (+ grit guards) and Interior Clean
- Clean wheels with Brown Royal
- Rinse vehicle
- Wash with Gilmour 75QGFMR Foamaster, DuraGloss 902 in the...
Couldn't agree more. Thank you for clearing up the confusion about the new seal and placards. Inspecting the seal first hand, I think it will perform exactly as you described. Some people might be bothered by a little water getting into the bed, but I don't see it being an issue. All things...
I lowered the "button" as low as it can go and it made a minimal difference on the gap. Still there, but no a big deal.
The rails were installed as directed, with a focus on downward pressure while clamping, and if they were somehow able to go any lower the tailgate would have trouble closing...
