Thank you!! I got 5 or 6 quotes and one shop claiming they won’t do due to the structural component of the seat belt on Ford raptors? I know plenty of people who had their raptor rocker panels replaced so idk where that came from
Rocker panels need to be replaced. The rest of it I just scraped off with soap and water on a sponge just now and gotta cover it in rust-oleum paint.
Rocker panels will cost $400 for a set, the labor is what I’m worried about. Built in a budget for this stuff but concerned it’s gonna cost me...
Yes you’re correct. But this one was immaculately well maintained, never off roasted and I’m using it as a pavement pounder. It’s a 2010 5.2L V8, most of you guys have 6.2L gen ones or gen 2s so it’s a baby version compared to you all but I love it and already got some used shocks for it that...
Because I’ll be a dentist in a year and the car is over 6k lbs. therefore as an independent contractor, it’s a tax write off once you write a bill of sale to your own corporation as an associate or if you own the dental office. Therefore it ended up making sense once an accountant looked at
Thats great info. I have a spare set of shocks coming in second hand. So even by gen 1 owners that I know have very different thoughts of maintenance costs. The ones who use them as pavement pounders say its cheap jsut the shocks every 50k miles is the big thing but besides that its just oil...
I see. There is a solid deal on one in Ann Arbor. I may have to look even further. Financially it wont be a big hit, its just a longer term and like i said, this is more of an enthusiast move and its a good price but its as spotless as it gets for a pavement pounder gen 1. Ill mull it over, some...
Dental student/soon to be dentist. Grip it and rip it is dental slang for extractions. I don't golf. Ive got a few dogs and my wife that take up my free time haha.
haha I dont qualify for the student loan forgiveness or whatever Biden is offering. Starting is too high. I have income coming in from a small investment in a college rental I made with 2 other friends when we graduated and had some money laying around, so the raptor is not on loans. My loans...
No worries at all, I appreciate your insight. I really do. So it has 79k miles. It is a 2012 Honda Ridgeline Sport. It will be paid off in 3 years. Current monthly is the same as what the Raptor would be. Insurance is $15 more a month for the Ridgeline. I owe 14k for it and highest trade in...
So one with 185k miles for 18k, one with 150k miles for 21k, and another with 214k miles listed for 22k. 2 of those are 6.2L of the same year as mine. I do not want to sell this. Part of the reason I want to is that it is a gen 1 and i rather hold onto it than use it and trade it one day. More...
