I decided to not grind mine down, but remove and paint the original bolts.

Cell phone pics after a quick wash this weekend. I removed and soaked the bolts in a 50/50 solution of lemon juice and white vinegar to remove that crap coating, dried them, then I spray painted them silver metallic, and reinstalled. Vision X is repairing the right side HID.

If I put 3 washers on the stainless bolt the thread length is almost identical to the original set up of the brass colored bolt and washer; this causes the stainless bolt to not seat flush with the rim as the brass colored bolts fit when screwed in all the way. Deciding on whether I like...

Everything is perfect on the bolts, except they are too long! Maybe I'll fill the extra space with an extra washer? I wonder where Method sources their bolts?

I checked with Home Depot and Lowes and could not find the correct length bolt. I was able to find some HHCS Metric C A2-SS M8-1.25X10 from The Nut Place. The threads on the bolts holding the rim on the wheel are about 6.5mm, so these might not work. I'll check tonight and update the thread.

The pictures look great, but it looks amazing in person! How did the plasti dip hold up at the TRR?

I bought a set of NVs from Brandon at the TRR and we talked about changing out the bolts. I am interested in the stainless bolts as well.
