Actually endsd up letting him upsell me on using the tire jack space to fit a custom enclosure they already have a template for and going with a shallow JL 10” - got the truck back - much happier with some actual bass in my life!!
Well i mean im in a smaller town in the midwest and its a family run business that been around for 30 years.
im not asking about the price so much as if folks liked the equipment he recommended. Ill likely do the 4 doors this spring \shrug/
interesting feedback! ill have to ask my guy about this some more. he said he has had luck with multiple f150s this setup, but i didnt press for details.
hey thanks for doing that Danny! appreciate the positive reinforcement for dropping the coin! hahaha
(but i was interested on if he was gouging me on the price, which more specifically was 3150 so im REALLY happy with your answer)
i bet that pounds! nice!
i havent self-installed car audio in probably 15 years and while i THINK i could do it myself, i also remember that some of my wiring jobs back in the day looked, uh, "less than pro" lol.
thanks for the reassurance on the first part
edit - i meant the APS 8 not the AP 8 - i have updated my post. the APS is rated 500 max, 250 continous - so it should be good to go

Awesome thank you for your reply -
sorry it was prob a n00b question but going from a base model 2010 titan that didnt even have cruise to this spaceship is a learning experience for me! :) love this truck
necro-bump - google repetitively brings up this thread and i "get" unhook the negative terminal
BUT is this necessary for something as subtle as going from the cheap *** phone book thick air filter that was in there to a k&n drop in stock size?
yeah we only have 91 nearby but i filled up with that when i got in town (on fumes lol), gonna buy some octane booster bottles as well
pulled it this afternoon during the bears game (ugh) standard cheap replacement filter, thick as a phonebook in there, ran to OReillys and dropped a K&N in -...

300 miles there in my SCREW 2011 titan 5.6 V8 - 15.8 mpg (cai and higher flow than stock muffler)
300 miles home in 2020 SCREW raptor 3.5 V6 - 11.8 mpg?? really?
