Are you utilizing the factory sub enclosure or having a box built for it?

i wouldnt use the oem sub enclosure. its far too flimsy for most aftermarket subwoofers. the pressure inside the enclosure will cause it to flex

interesting feedback! ill have to ask my guy about this some more. he said he has had luck with multiple f150s this setup, but i didnt press for details.

So the parts costs with all the other parts needed to install that setup is around the price he said he would install it for so that's a good deal. Free labor is hard to find so I'm not sure if this is a real deal. The only issue is that sub isn't really all that much different than the stock sub. I would suggest going with the door speakers prior to that sub if money is a concern. You'll reap way more benefit doing so. Being that you picked a DSP amplifier is he tuning it as well? Something just doesn't add up to me. Unless he is a very close friend or family member I can't see any shop giving out this much of a bargain for a random customer. My profit margin on this including the install would most likely be in the negative. This is why I'm having an issue believing this deal.

Pricing aside I did an Audiocontrol D4.800 for the doors and signal processing, LC1.800 for the Sub, DD audio LE-S06D which is a 6.5" sub, 500w RMS. I love the way my truck sounds and I have it integrated with SYNC 1.0 (which doesn't do much). I did the install myself and I want to put a second 6.5" under the seat to run at 2x400w but that's some time in the future.

Actually endsd up letting him upsell me on using the tire jack space to fit a custom enclosure they already have a template for and going with a shallow JL 10” - got the truck back - much happier with some actual bass in my life!!
