The Talon logic would be pretty slick!
I think the tow/haul can be tapped into directly from the center console, some guys have upgraded to a B&M shifter with built in buttons for up/down shift, but has a separate button that wires in, sounds like the harness is pretty basic and easily...
Would be interesting to see this work!
Are you doing a simple 3 channel switch(soft/med/hard) or writing logic to integrate auto adjustment between modes based on shock shaft velocity?
How I understand the OE setup to work is that is constantly adjusts based off variety of inputs, shaft...
Could be IWE, they are operated by vacuum and require a steady vacuum to stay disengaged. Vacuum system failure is common, when mine went the most notable sign was a high pitched chatter/rattle from the front end.
Can you duplicate in 4wd?
I was surprised as well, funny thing is they even mentioned afterwards that its a common mistake, but that they definitely didnt do it...
I agree, I usually do, however the shock rebuild was a bit more than I wanted to take on right now. Hindsight is 20/20 lol
I was pleasantly surprised with...
Wanted to share my experience, I had debated for awhile the rebuild vs buying new 3.0, but really wasnt wanting to drop $5k on shocks and they really needed a rebuild, so I had the shocks rebuilt by a local shop (SDHQ) and upgrading to their tie rods, after pulling the truck apart they call and...
This is what I was finding during my shake down run as well, couldnt get it to rub even with some hard hits, no jumping yet but I dont think it would be an issue.
Is that the BLM front bumper?
Falken MT 37x12.5 and mid perch
37s really fill out the fenders nicely, now just need to trim the pinch welds, no rub yet but havent pushed it offroad yet
I believe you need a tuner like the SCT, or possibly can do with Forscan, dealer should be able to reset as well but they will likely charge.
If you use the SCT tuner without a custom tune, make sure you manually select 4.10 gears as well, it read my 2011 out as an F150 with the 6.2L and I...
I just ran into some of the same issues on my 11 at about 150k
Some chatter and a hard shift 2-3 at wot, and occasional shift flare on 2-3 and 3-4 under light throttle
Was also seeing high temps under normal driving, 210 cruising at 75-80, and would regularly get to 212 under normal street...
Yeah that's what I've been hoping to see, na setup with ported heads/cams and higher compression. It seems the heads flow really well after porting, but then there is finding a cam with enough lift/duration, turns into custom parts quickly!
I would be interested to see what the 11:1 pistons do...
Ahh, I thought you were staying NA, been trying to find someone who has done/planning high comp NA build, cams would definitely be needed but I think they can make good power still.
Supercharged is obviously the proven/highest power, but it's a bit overkill for me, and gives 1 more thing to...
What plans do you have for the heads/cams?
Any thoughts on intake manifold?
There was the Fox body build that switched over to a carb setup, that combined with the intake manifold seemed to be the big factor in it making big NA power. I'd be interested to see what these are capable of while...
Have you had the leadframe TSB done?
I was getting same code and truck was in limp mode (5th gear only)
That TSB should be handled at no cost at any Ford dealership, I had to fight mine but also wasnt getting code initially, truck was just shifting really strange, once the code popped up they...
