I just sold my 2018 Raptor SCREW and had a pair of the MOLLE tactical rear seat storage system that I posted to Craigslist... if anyone is interested let me know, hopefully these can go to good use on another Raptor out there in the wild! :)...
My driver side element went out as well, 3 months before 36mo warranty is over so going back in once part arrives later this month. Sil Terhar Ford in Broomfield is where I go as its closest Ford dealership and so far, so good dealing with them!
I looked closely at that setup but the roll up box near the cab took too much space and the dealers I spoke to said that if you need a full bed, it really wasnt meant to be removed and re-installed, so that was my consideration to go the route I did vs a roll topper version.
Good luck with...
I bought the truck with the Honey Badger already installed... so there might have been some modifications but I don’t think so? I know my adaptavive cruise moduke was relocated, they have a kit for that if you have that option. The Stealth Fighter was direct bolt on with some minor trimming...
We were going 75 mph on the interstate and probably going around 50 mph at impact as I slammed on the brakes but couldn’t slow down fast enough to avoid... pretty big impact.
After a deer strike earlier this summer, I decided to swap my ADD Honey Badger out with the more streamlined ADD Stealth Fighter bumper... Like the integrated look of the new bumper and front cam is useful again without the bull bar blocking the view. I like it.
Old: (damaged Honey...
I was initially going to buy the Diamondback SE but I didn’t like that I had to drill through it for my rack needs, and I wanted a cargo basket on top so that limited my ability to open each end for access to the bed. The other option I looked into was the Retrax with the bed rails for a rack...
Yes, so far so good. So far I've only had to take the cover system once and its definitely a 2-man job. We just got back from a 600 mile road trip for mountain biking out in SW Colorado, had lots of gear loaded on the cover - no issues... We also completed a 2800 mile road trip through...
Looks good... question for ya, my ADD Honeybadger is toast after a deer strike, insurance is replacing and I might go with the Stealth Fighter as the Honeybadger bull bar blocks the front camera. Does your front camera work with this bumper without anything being blocked out? Thx!
My hope is that insurance would simply replace it, but I would guess it could be bent and pulled back into shape with the right tools? I’ll know more tomorrow after they come to look at the truck and give me options for a potential claim. Part of the middle cutout is sheered and will need to...
Absolutely crushed a deer on i80 in Iowa Friday evening... Tried to avoid but slammed on brakes and couldn't stop, probably struck the poor thing going 45mph (I had cruise at 75)... Big thud at impact and dead center strike to my ADD front bumper... Which is now slightly damaged but no other...
I run a 1up with two extensions for up to 4 bikes... Love it. For longer multiday trips I added a Yakima swing arm for better access to truck bed, it's rock solid setup for my needs. Love how it's secure, no rattles or give in hitch receiver. Only thing I don't like is the metal ball that...
I like... I got my Raptor 6 months used and previous owner put on these wheels... so I inherited them when I bought it used... I woulda done the same wheels but in matte black vs bronze... and I was going to change them out... but I gotta say, I get LOTS of comments and compliments... and they...
I have recently started using bluetooth earbuds for streaming music or podcasts on hikes or bike rides, and if its on and I get in the truck and it switches over to the truck bluetooth connection, my drop/rejoin issues seem more prevalent... but not entirely sure so will do some more...
Ive noticed this as well as of late, seems to lose and rejoin a few times when I've gone on more extended drives (30 mins+) but its hit and miss and I need to continue to troubleshoot. I'm on an Android and no problems with other cars, and I rent a lot for business trips. I also use Android...
A few more pics of the Ridgelander... first week of ownership.
Updates worth sharing... pressure washed truck and no water in the bed, which is a good sign. This cover is pretty damn tight!
Replacing the struts with 90lb set today, should be a nice upgrade to keep this open with gear loaded...
Gus... thanks, these upgraded struts are going on order as I had my first experience loading gear on top the Ridgelander, adding two snowboards and that was enough to cause the stock struts to collapse down and slam the cover shut... scared the shit out of me as I thought it was fully engaged...
These things are bomber... look so cool especially on the white Raptor you got... and everyone who owns seems to swear by them... I almost bought one but needed a bit different setup for my cover as I run with cargo basket and bike racks in top, so went with the Ridgelander instead for easier...
Background - I researched and it came down to the Ridgelander from Undercover vs Diamondback SE cover - I ultimately decided to go with Ridgelander cover.
My needs were a secure cover, where I could install a rack and have good access to the truck bed with a cargo basket and ski rack/bike rack...
Thx to this and a few other posts I ordered this Ridgelander cover this weekend, and look forward to getting it installed and ready for MTB and camping season. I was down to the Diamondback SE and this unit but since I’ll have a Thule Canyon XT cargo basket and bike racks on top, that blocks...
