I too had a similar experience. I had Rigid lights which caused radio interference. I checked wiring multiple times, moved grounds to different locations, tried ferrite beads but nothing helped. After about a year I gave up and replaced the Rigids with Baja Designs. Have had no more interference...
I experienced something similar when I installed Rigids to the front bumper pockets. As soon as I flipped the AUX switches, static on my AM/FM radio. Tried grounding in different places, ferrite cores, etc, etc. The only thing that fixed the static was going with Baja Designs lights. For some...
If I remember correctly, I think you can get it in Gray, Semi-gloss Black, or raw. You can have them add a light bar as part of the order for an additional cost or you can add your own. I used a Baja Designs OnX6+ bar with mine. The options Impulse gives are a Rigid or KC bar.
The shop is Impulse Offroad. They make bumper bars with light mounts which can fit a 20" light bar. I have one on my '18 Raptor and love it. It uses existing mounting points used for the tow hooks so no drilling or cutting is required.
Well, if you believe Greg Foutz, the Baja 1000 race truck is equipped with the stock 450 hp 510 lb-ft torque motor that we get. This was from an article in Dec. 2016 when the Ford team started racing the new Gen2 as a 2017 model...
I think most people forget that the Raptor was purpose built to be an off road beast. 500, 600, 700 hp isn't necessary in this truck because it would be useless in dirt, on rocks, in snow/mud. Ford engineers tuned this truck to do exactly what it's supposed to do. These are not purpose built for...
I know it probably isn't as accurate as a dyno, but the Cobb does give you the option to display HP on the Accessport. With the Stage 1 tune and Cobb intake with 93 octane, I've gotten up to 512 HP displayed on the Accessport under load on the highway. And before you ask, I failed to perform...
Does anyone know the best place to look for Recaros to place into a 2018 802A and what the cost would be? I sat in the demo Recaro seats at the Raptor Assault and really liked them. Wouldn't mind swapping my seats if they can be obtained easily for a good price.
I was absolutely amazed at the abuse the truck took (not that we were driving like idiots or anything) and didn't break a sweat. It made me realize that I'm being overly cautious with my rig so I don't break or damage it. After the Raptor Assault I know where the limits are and that was one...
I agree. I was out there a month ago and had a wonderful time. It was raining/snowing/sleeting most of the time so the trails were really muddy and slick. I appreciated what that machine could do in those conditions. I did things in that truck that I didn't know were possible and would never...
Thanks @HeavyAssault and @USMCTexian. I'll try additional grounding straps and see if that fixes the issue. It could be the lights, but they are name brand Rigid lights which lots of Raptor owners run. I'm surprised that this isn't a more common issue if it is truly an issue with the lights.
I am running two sets of Rigid D-Series PRO (spot and flood) in the front bumper. One set is on switch 1 and the second set is on switch 2. Whenever either or both switches are turned on, the radio reception turns to static. The lights are perfectly bright with no flickering and I've checked...
