    2018 grinding noise

The only articles I've seen about this are Raptor specific. Haven't seen any for non-Raptor Eco-Boost F150s, which presumably could have the same problem. The Raptor engine is different than the standard Eco-Boost 3.5, specifically with respect to the intake and turbos, so perhaps the...

    2018 grinding noise

Truck was built in February of '18. Don't know what a TCCM is. I did have the phaser update installed. Which had a side effect of dramatically reduced the shifting into gear clunck when its cold. If the TCCM update is simply firmware, it may have come along with the phaser update.

    2018 grinding noise

Thanks for the info FordTechOne. You've been very helpful. Next question is, what happens when the hubs engage at an unexpected time? I once owned an old Willy's Jeep. You could engage/disengage 4WD while moving as long as you were going in a straight line on a smooth surface. Don't know...

    2018 grinding noise

This raises a question. Eco boost engines are turbo charged which means there may be no engine vacuum. is there an explicit vacuum pump?

    2018 grinding noise

About 30 miles into a 160 mile return trip from a ski weekend, my 2018 Raptor suddenly started making these grinding noises seemingly from the drivers front wheel. This grinding noise wasn't constant. Came and went. And strangley seemed to more likely to express itself during uphills...

    Holes in drink holder cups

Finally got a chance to RTFM this weekend and figured out the large hole underneath the cupholder is where you put your keyfob when you want to program it. No noticeable repercussions from spilling coffee down said keyfob programming hole... but I wouldn't recommend you try this for yourself...

    Holes in drink holder cups

So there I was taking my 5 day old Raptor on its first ski trip. Still figuring out the cup holders. I had a somewhat large ceramic coffee cup. I had to push it kinda hard to get it past the fingers in the cup holders. Which when it hit bottom caused the coffee to splash. So I just sorta...

Raptor deployed as a street machine

Found a used 2013 to test drive. I thought the ride was very nice. The extra 6" of width comes from the bulbous fenders. Which is what gives it that macho look and covers the wider track and tires. I thought the exhaust noise was rather loud. Too loud for my tastes. Don't know if...

Raptor deployed as a street machine

Couldn't get the forum search to work. This may be a duplicate. My apologies. Interested in the Raptor for the engine and those Macho good looks. Unlikely it will ever be used off road much. Seeking opinions re: on road driveability. In particular the impact of the extra width and...
