Hood release. Make sure to keep it lubed up. I’ve had hood latch issues fixed with grease.

Battery issues & Looking for advice before 1PM Mountain Time

Bummer about your battery. Do you happen to live in a hot climate? Vegas, Phoenix?? Heat kills batteries. If you don’t have one already get a quality charger, I use Victron, and give the battery a good charge once a month. The Victron has a “Recondition” mode that you should try on your...

Antitheft systems needed for Raptor R?

DVM. Regarding cloning a key fob...how long does it take? Can they be cloned when driving? Should they reside in the faraday box at all times, even when driving? Wish it was easier to deal with the thievery.

    Ford Pass “Your Privacy Choices”

Read an article this am in the NYT regarding invasive use and selling of information to insurance companies. It got me to visit my Ford Pass app to opt out of cookies. I had to opt out of cookies in two places. Curiously when I clicked on the “Your Privacy Choices” link, Ford Pass informed...

Here’s another. https://parts.autonationfordwhitebearlake.com/v-2018-ford-f-150--raptor--3-5l-v6-gas All of these suppliers have pluses and minuses. AutoNation has great and helpful phone staff, however shipping is high. I use Tasca as an absolute last resort do their pizz poor to...

    Auxillary Switch Lost Power

Also check all of the wiring for proper crimps, splices, grounds. Make sure that the installer did not use any SkotchLok type splices that partially sever the already very thin wires. Best of luck with your journey

    Auxillary Switch Lost Power

Do the troubleshooting if you can figure out how. You can try disconnecting the new wires one at a time as you troubleshoot v Maybe Car Stereo Company or Ford Tech One will check in with fine guidance as to how to proceed.

    Auxillary Switch Lost Power

Check each aux wire for continuity. This might lead to what’s wrong. Did the installer add relays to the switches or wire direct w-o relays?

Any mountain bikers? Post your travel setup

Warpath. Be prepared to have this setup fail. These setups often lead to breakage. Those swing away racks are quite heavy, add the weight of the bikes, factor in the long lever arms from trailer axle to hitch, then to bikes and it often leads to failure. The most common failure point is the...

Any mountain bikers? Post your travel setup

Same bike as OP in a S3. Just got a Raceface pad. Seems to work OK. I’m a weak old man. I can get the rear end up into the box with down tube resting on the tailgate. Then the bike walks right in as I lift the tailgate. This is super quick to load and unload. Plus I can keep the ReTrax...

Does extended warranty cover rear differential bearings?

Yah. Job #1 for the aftermarket companies is to decline. Ford and other OEM policies lean at least a bit toward customer retention. Similar for service writers at stealerships…some decline all while others want to help. Gotta be your own advocate.
