Also check all of the wiring for proper crimps, splices, grounds. Make sure that the installer did not use any SkotchLok type splices that partially sever the already very thin wires.

Yah. Job #1 for the aftermarket companies is to decline. Ford and other OEM policies lean at least a bit toward customer retention.
